Ridiculousness is putting it nicely!!

Ridiculous! We moved back in the beginning of April out of our house and for 3 months we wouldn’t have a house while our new one was being built. I called to put our account on hold and let them know I was moving and wouldn’t be in our house until end of June. Guy said ok. Never said make sure to take your equipment—meaning door things, fire detector, panel—everything with you or we will charge you a ridiculous outrageous fee to have it installed at new location. So as the 3 months goes on I keep getting bills saying our payment is due-I was told I wouldn’t have to pay while moving- and then bills with late fees attached. I called they said o it’ll be fine we will cancel it out when you move. Then we start getting CALLS THREATENING COLLECTIONS! We were trying to buy a new house and they are treatening sending our bills to collections so I had to call back again and raise *** for them to actually do their job and put my account on HOLD and cancel out the balance. Fast forward to moving in. I call to have it set back up. Mind you I’m already upset with their customer service through this whole ordeal. I find out that since no one told me to take my equipment that it would be $900 to have it installed or I can cancel my contract (mind you that we weren’t told we had by the salesman—our fault for not reading the fine print about a 60 month contract) but to cancel I have to pay out the remaining months (32 months left at this point I believe) we are a military family and can’t afford either of those options. This is the most ridiculous transaction I’ve ever had to deal with. Not happy will NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!! This needs to be reconciled ASAP. MONITRONICS SHOULD FRONT THE BILL FOR INSTALLATION AND EQUIPMENT since they didn’t tell me to take mine!!!! I would've easily taken it if I knew to. I took my invisible fence equipment since I was told to. Worst customer service EVER!
