Resolved: What’s best for Alaska not their customers

Update by user Jul 09, 2018 The issue was with SkyWest, flying on behalf of Alaska Airlines. Original review posted by user May 03, 2018 My wife, mother in law and daughter returning from Dallas Love field spent 6 hours in the airport only to be told that their flight was cancelled due to flight crew maxed out there flight time. I just attempted the same return flight and with incremental weather delays I continually asked the counter staff if the flight would really continue to Portland upon arrival. I let them know it was critical that I get home tonight and that I had one alternative, jumping on a DFW flight. I was assured of my original delayed flight would get me home. 6 hours later, plane arrives, unloads then Alaska announces cancellation. One person at ticket counter to address customer overnight needs. Exact same scenario my family experienced a few weeks earlier. It’s time that people call it for what it is and book flights with an airline that doesn’t pull this kind of business tactics. They knew hours before that there was not a flight crew available, my time and my business mean little to them so I will take my business and my loyalty else where.
