Update by user Feb 04, 2021 Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product or service ordered. After almost 2 months waiting and unnecessary nonsense that we had to go through, I still would not recommend this company or particular appliance.. Update by user Jan 04, 2021 In limbo. I’ve been robbed! Original review posted by user Jan 04, 2021 I purchased 4 appliances from Canadian Appliance Source in Ottawa, Ontario exactly 13 months ago and my range is already broken and not working properly. Not long after purchasing my Amana range I noticed that 2 of the elements were not heating up completely. I thought this was maybe normal for this type of range. I wasnt sure. Then the oven door began making a strange noise about 6 months after the purchase but I didnt think much of it either. 13 months later, the door does not close anymore because one of the hinges bent! 2 elements barely work. Piece of garbage appliance!! I spent almost $800 for that garbage!! When I tried contacting Whirlpool ( I was told to contact them by CAS), the customer service rep convinced me to extend my warranty for $200 so that the appliance can be fixed. She told me to go online to set up a service call but when I tried, the website would not allow me to set up a service call. Instead the site told me that the model number of my appliance doesnt even exist. I tried several times to submit the information needed but their website would not accept the information. I called Whirlpool again and was told pretty much that it was out of their hands. I asked for a refund for the extended warranty and of course, the thieves wont give it back! Unfortunately, I should have done research before purchasing one of their products and also before dealing with CAS. Both companies are liars and thieves! I looked up reviews, and it was mostly horrible with 1.4 out of 5 overall review! And I thought Whirlpool had more integrity than that, having been around for so long. But, no, no integrity whatsoever!! I strongly recommend avoiding Whirlpool and CAS. Ms.Richards Ottawa, Ontario User's recommendation: I strongly recommend avoiding Whirlpool and CAS (Canadian Appliance Source)!! If you want to be disappointed and ripped off this is a good place to donate your hard earned cash!
