Resolved: Bad customer support!

Update by user Nov 08, 2020 Moen did contact me and transfer the case to the Mexican division. They contacted me and supplied me with a schema listing parts and numbers. I did figure out my valve issue on my own. Original review posted by user Oct 09, 2020 Seem that Moen shower cartridge 40017 has been discontinued. Was looking for an answer to what cartridge will substitute for 40017. After waiting for several hours for a call back from customer support, the support rep was unable to help! He kept telling me that it was not a moen part. I offered to give him the URL so he could look at the same picture on YOUR website and he said I keep telling you it's not a MOEN PART. HERE IS THE URL TO YOUR WEBSITE!!! https://www.moen.com/products/Moen/Moen_Cartridge/40017#replacement-parts User's recommendation: Be wary of a company that only allows support via telephone! The support is only as good as the person answering the telephone, if they are unaware of the products, your support call will be a failure! In my case, trying to get an answer on a cartridge that can be used in place of their discontinued cartridge was a waist of hours of hold time. Email or chat service would have provided the ability to text the URL, so someone could have researched the part, instead of refusing to look it up.
