Regarding Rebate

Hi, I bought Michelin Defender tires on Friday from one of your discount tire store. I bought this tire because store guy told me that I will get $70 rebate. They gave me a rebate number too. I applied for the rebate but I got rebate mail that I don't qualify for the rebate. They sold tire with wrong information. I have a rebate form with code. They provided. What should I do? I will go to consumer forum otherwise.
