Refused to fix a puncture.
2
Stopped by to have a tire repaired today. I was informed that the tire was un-repairable due to the fact that the puncture wasn't in the center of the tire. They of course wanted to sell me a new tire- even though the tire in question was less than 6 months old. The repairman showed me the corporate chart showing the "repairable area" on the tire, and my puncture was just outside that area of course. I was informed that no tire dealership would patch the tire due to the puncture location but I could probably find a Mom/Pop store that would plug the hole- but Just Tires didn't believe in plugs. So due to the fact that I was sure I could get my $75 dollar tire repaired I asked them to reinstall the tire. I stopped at the Exxon station on the way home and was told the tire was definitely repairable and proceeded to patch -not plug the tire. I can understand the argument by Just Tires, as they have probably had incidents where the tires were actually unrepairable but what irks me is the fact that I was not given the option to have it repaired with the understanding that it could fail. I would have gladly paid for a patch in hopes that my money would save a practically new tire, but to just refuse to even try to fix is ridiculous. I have bought several sets of tires at Just Tires but will not be returning. Scott Engler
