After my insurance company paid the majority of the lien on my car, after it was totalled by the adjuster, I was left with about $1700 outstanding to the bank. After nearly three months of collecting supporting information for DTS/ASI(while still making payments on the car), they have refused any payments. They deducted value based on mileage of about 1300 miles per month over 10 years, to coincidentally just about what they would have paid out. This seems like a scam, to take money for "gap insurance", refuse to pay out, and have no appeal process. My lien holder told me that they will NOT deal with ASI directly because of how they conduct business. If you have another option, go with another company. Ironically, their web site is "asi-profits.com. Doesn't that say it all!!!
