Rain water in between panels

I have two brand new Tradewinds half view Larson doors with the same issue! Only been in for a month. The window has a gap between the door panel and the window itself. Rain hits the window and drips down into the panels. My sill plates are soaked INSIDE because the design of the door has drain holes in the bottom. Why would any millwork company design a storm door with a gap wide enough to fit the tip of my finger in between the pane and the bottom panel? I dislike them and will be having my contractor remove them and return them. Not sure what company makes a quality storm door anymore. I think it's best to go back to the old styles that you removed the windows and screens seasonally User's recommendation: Do your homework.
