I pre-paid for a series of 4 classes of Intermediate Swing Dance class at Dance Colorado Dance Studio in Colorado Springs, CO on 8-3-09. The first class was tonight at 7pm. I was the first one to arrive and two couples showed up later. The owner arrived and started to greet and talk to the young couple next to my table and proceeded to do the same with the older couple at the next table farthest from me. While the owner/instructor was busy talking a lady came in and sat a the next table. The owner went to her table and greeted and talked to her all the while ignoring me on purpose. Keep in mind that he saw me as he came to the dance studio and not even once aknowledged me or came to greet me. After watching him ignore me for almost 15 minutes, I was fed up and walked away. As I was getting out I told the secretary that I changed my mind about the class because the crowd was unfriendly and the owner did not come to talk to me. I sent him a complaint email and put it lightly by saying that he violated my civil rights. Anyone looking to get dance lessons in Colorado Springs, CO please forget about Dance Colorado Dance Studio if you are not white as some body might be staring you down and ignore you all the time.
