Purchased ticket and then changed dates and charged an additional $475 plus having to stay in Atlanta overnight & pay for the hotel there

We purchased tickets to Aruba 4/1/21. They were pd for on that date. Our stay in Aruba was from 8/14/21 - 8/21/21. We received emails a few days ago stating that you were going to return us on Friday 8/20/21. That was NOT what we purchased. I called Delta and was told that not only did I have to pay an additional $475, but we had an additional expense for an overnight stay in Atlanta. At this point, Delta pretty well sucks. Not only are you not willing to stand up to our original purchase and honor the flight, but we are out an additional $475 plus a night stay in Atlanta! Very poor customer service!!!
