Poor quality and absence of customer support!

1

Update by user Jun 21, 2020 The company reports that a replacement unit is back ordered (no stock available) for 6/26. I hope for a successful resolution. Original review posted by user May 22, 2020 The original StairMaster that I received arrived damaged and although it operated, the heart rate monitor was intermittent! Core ultimately agreed to replace the unit. The replacement unit seemed to operate during a brief test at installation but shortly after, it developed a loud squeaking noise and the heart rate monitor ceased to operate! They sent a technician to repair it and he discovered that the rubber drive belt would *** sideways during operation and rub against the bracket and abrade the belt. Mysteriously the heart rate monitor worked continuously for a short test. The tech reported that the unit could not be repaired in the field and after the tech left the heart rate monitor stopped working! Weeks went by with no communication from Core so I emailed them to find out what they planned! After the obligatory apologies and corona virus excuses I was assured that action would be set in motion! Additionally, the unit is much noisier than the commercial units that I was used to! It appears that company policy is to ignore problems hoping that their customers will give up! User's recommendation: Ignore the corporate hype regarding stairmaster quality and expect poor customer support!
