Date 8/21/2021 Time: Between 7:20pm -9:00pm CT Our vehicle was broken into in the AMC Tech Ridge 9 Movie Theater parking lot in Austin, TX. The truck was in a handicap stall, in direct line of sight of the security officer parked in their pickup truck at the end of the lot. Based on the stalls, the criminals would have had to pull up near the rear of the truck, jump out, smash the window and flee. The vehicle's back window was busted out. Clothes, personal items, a back pack containing wallet with ID credit cards, etc that was under the seat, were stolen. Only the clothing on hangers were visible. One could also assume persons were scouting out vehicles looking in windows. My complaint is that the way the security guard was positioned, the only way to NOT have seen the crime is if they were not paying attention to activity in the lot or ignored it. We may reach out for further resolution.
