Last April I bought a pair of Desert Boots from Clarks online, price £110. Recently the outer soles have become very sticky, so that I cannot wear them inside the house and outside they pick up everything you tread on. So they are effectively unwearable. I have tried scrubbing the soles with soapy water, but that doesn't do any good. Any advice, please? The boots were quite expensive (£110) and I didn't expect them to deteriorate before they are even a year old.
