I sent a package overnight. The package took 8 days to arrive. UPS claimed there was an old label on the box which caused this problem. I received an email stating "hazardous materials irregularity occurred with this package. We'll contact the sender with additional information" . Exception Resolution: The package will be forwarded to a UPS facility in the destination city. A couple of days later I received an email from UPS indicating the package was incorrectly sorted which may cause a delay. The package was sent from California to Colorado. It ended up in Kentucky. The label for this package was created online and dropped off at a local UPS store. They attached the label and placed it over an existing label to cover it. They accepted the package. If there was a problem with the box then it should have been returned to me to correct or at least contacted to see what I wanted to do. The contents was a frozen item. By the time it was delivered it was no good and had to be thrown out. I think it is reasonable to refund payment but they are stating that there are no guarantee. Seams wrong when they can use any excuse not to be liable for their mistakes. It is also extremely difficult to reach someone to talk to. When I did talk to someone they said there was nothing she could do. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor which she did but I was left on line for over 20 minutes and no one ever answered.
