I recently upgraded from my Walmart knockoff shoes, to buying the real deal Sketchers at a high end store. I bought two pair of shoes, one pair black slip ons for when the Achilles Tendonitis acts up, and a pair of regular walking shoes; I have worn both with socks, and without. Without. In all my 60 years I have never had foot odor and never experienced the stench of cat urine. I find it odd that only one pair smells like urine, if it's the same feet wearing them, it must be the shoes. Something is very wrong. I'll never spend another dime on these shoes. User's recommendation: Don't waste your money on an inferior product.
