NO GOODS – NO REFUND

I ordered a printer at 15.30 on 11th September. (Their web site states orders placed before 17.30 will receive free next day delivery). I receive an email from the Account Manager at 16.35 telling me that my order is placed on priority delivery. (all seems good). No delivery the next day, so I just assumed it would arrive on the following Monday. Again no delivery on Monday, or even Tuesday, so I decide to ring Printerinks.com and enquire where my printer is? I spoke to 3 different members of staff who all took my details and promised to call me back with an answer. I HAD NO RESPONSE FROM ANY OF THEM!! I had to ring Printerinks.com yet again on Thursday 18th September (a week after I placed my order) to try to find out where my order is. I explained my situation and was told by a member of staff named John that my order had been cancelled due to the printer being discontinued. Why wasn't I told about this earlier??? I was told that my payment would be refunded to my debit card, and that this would take upto 3 working days. I explained that this is very inconvenient, as I have to now purchase the printer from another company. John promised to email me the next day regarding my refund...however...I received no email or call the next day. (no surprise there)!!! Fast forward 3 working days later and I check my account on the 24th September. NO REFUND!! I leave it another 24 hours...STILL NO REFUND!!! so I decide to give the company yet another call today (25th September - 14 days after I placed my order). I get through to John (who apparently isn't the same John that I spoke to last week) and he says he will speak to the department and ring me back. Quite a few hours later, I receive a call back from John who tells me that my refund HAS NOT been processed and to expect it in the middle of next week. I asked why it hasn't been processed and explained the troubles I have had so far with the company and my order...his response to this was "What do you want me to do"?????? I told him I would like to speak to somebody higher up in the company. He told me to send him an email and he would pass it on to the Manager. (yes, of course he will)!! I asked for the name of the Manager so that I could contact them but he point blank refused to give me a name or a telephone number for anybody in authority. What's that all about????? Is there actually anybody of authority within this shambles of a company???? In over 20 years in the printing industry, I have never come across a company with such incompetence and total lack of customer service. I would STRONGLY advise anybody thinking of doing business with Printerinks.com to AVOID them at all costs!!!
