No accountability and experience by manager, Bryan Cox and staff

On Oct.12, 2020, myself and Simmer Harry arrived at the dealership at 9:00AM to purchase a pre-owned vehicle he saw online. We both had every intention to purchase the vehicle of our choice. We selected our vehicles and test drove the cars with the help of our salesperson, Christen Hernandez. We told him that we had arranged our finances, and what did we need from him them to close this deal. We left the dealership with the necessary paperwork to present to Houston Texas Fire Fighters Credit Unions (HTFFCU) loan dept. in order to purchase our vehicles. When Simmer returned to the dealership several hours later. He had our approval documents from the credit union. He was told he didn't have the proper papers and every possible excuse. He called Shawna George, the loan officer at HTFFCU. She spoke with someone allegedly from Autonation finance dept. I was in her office at 3: 50 PM until 5:00PM. I left the credit union enroute to dealership with the sole purpose of picking up my car. The blame goes back and forth without Autonation supplying the necessary documents. While Bryan Cox, Manager also started telling lies. Bottom line, we were not able to take our vehicles home. I found this action totally unacceptable because Autonation made no attempt to rectify the problem. Bryan Cox obviously did not value us as a customer. His excuse was before Covid, things were done another way. That's not my problem. We left with the papers they gave Christen to give to us. I am a retired Harris County Deputy and Simmer Harry is a retired firefighter after 30 year. We have never experienced such humiliation! As far as I am concerned, I have never seen such gross unprofessionalism in management. There is NO acceptable explanation that they could offer other than us leaving with the vehicles. Our finances were approved and cleared. The new autos were insured and copies were provided in the documents. We did not return the next day. I will never do business with Auto Nation. I have told most of my deputy friends and he has told all of his firefighter friends to not do business with any autonation. User's recommendation: Do not do business with Autonation.
