Pursuant to settlement instructions, I filed my claim under option 2, listing more than $50,000.00 of actual foreign credit card transactions during the relevant claim period. I received a formal acknowledgment of my claim, with a claim number, and there it ended. Never heard a word of follow-up, let alone my share of the settlement. Most class members were to receive $25 just for stating they had incurred an undefined loss, with no documentation required. My situation is far more egregious, since I actually provided itemized documentation of real losses --- substantial losses, in fact! Was this a pure ripoff? Just a means for some unscrupulous organization to obtain thousands of credit card numbers? I don't know, but if the suit was in any way legitimate, it appears that only the plaintiff's attorneys made out like bandits. That seems to be the case in all the class action suits for which I have been a legitimate class member. User's recommendation: Don't waste your time on class action suit responses. They are legal extortion of corporations which may have done something wrong, but not intended for the real benefit of those wronged. As Shakespeare wrote, "First, kill all the lawyers.".
