I like many other Floridians am very frustrated in attempting to obtain my unemployment benefits. After spending hours and hours both on the IU website and attempting to call and just getting hung up I am at my wits end. I did complete not one but two applications. I was informed that I was not eligible since I did not earn enough during the time period. This was incorrect and I have mailed my W2 and a photocopy of my pay stubs from Volusia County Schools, I am a substitute teacher who has been running the Silver Sands Middle School ISS program. When the schools closed down I was furloughed, but am available to return to work when the schools reopen. I have mailed my proof of income, I am owed unemployment beginning March 22, 2020. It is my hope that someone will read this email and correct the problem. I realize I am one of many who is waiting for our unemployment. My name is James Booker the last four of my SS is 1415.
