Multimedia malfunction

we have a 4 runner limited out of warranty approx 6 mos we have been loyal toyota customers same dealership now under new ownership. taylor toyota, formerly grata. hermitage pa. 16148 the multimedia stopped working recently local dealer said they would contact toyota and see if they would cover this since part was likely defective and just out of warranty. the dealership told us no one from toyota got back to them. we waited for 2 weeks. the cost we were told was approx 2 thousand dollars. i am requesting that you consider this a defective part and consider extending warranty coverage. we have been a toyota family for years and currently own 4.. my tundra limited, wife 4 runner limited, 2 children each rav 4s. I dont really expect a favorable response, but you never know! thanks for your consideration Dean And Leah Petrucci
