Motor burnt on 18volt easy edge weedeater

I'd like to get credit for the one that burnt up less then a year towards the upgrade one that's 3 times cost of what I paid for one that burnt still trying to get it handled but guy at Ryobi says it must be tested to see if it can be repaired this happen last time and it took 3 months to get new one. ANY help would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time and help
