We purchased a new Misty Harbor Adventure Tri-Toon boat in 2016. That year the ski/tow bar bent. The dealer 'repaired' the boat by adding more support but put it on in a careless way, cutting washers and putting the bolts in crooked so they aren't flush and will fly off with use, posing a danger to someone skiing behind boat. They say the boat cannot pull a TUBE behind it. Their dealer sold us a tube and rope at the time of purchase of the boat and said it was great for tubing! In 2017 the pontoons CRACKED & LEAKED & TOOK ON WATER! The manufacturer says that that happens from trailering the boat. This boat is so poorly made that the pontoons crack and take on water from simply hauling the boat on it's pontoon trailer to and from a boat launch! The speedometer malfunctions, one the speakers doesn't work, and the back door flies open randomly. Also sold to us with a tiny hole in the upholstery of the captains seat. Misty Harbor says repairs are not covered by warranty but will add supports but not install a transom saver they stated needed to be used. They refuse to have the boat picked up and taken for repair even though they say hauling the boat on the trailer cracks the pontoons. They want us to cause further 'trailering' damage and then say "not covered by warranty?" They play a 'blame-game" and fail to follow through and fail to admit that a new pontoon boat should be made well enough to not take on water and SINK with normal use! It's a pretty boat. But it is poorly made and not safe to use. The manufacturer, Misty Harbor, makes excuses and justifications instead of standing by their product and their consumers and making things right. This is a dead horse in our driveway that is not safe to put on water and the manufacturer has made excuses instead of taking any actions to repair the problem. We want a full refund. They state that only their own dealers can make the repairs, even though it was their dealer Holiday Harbor in Celeron NY that did a shabby repair already! and even said "you should have boat a boat from a local dealer!" So, Buyer Beware - do yourselves a huge favor and buy local even if it costs more and under no circumstances buy a Misty Harbor boat. It's not worth your family's safety. It's not worth the stress. And you don't want to pay for a boat that is unsafe to take on the water!
