I joined Arbor Day in January of 2019 and was to receive 10 free fall foliage trees. I received the 'twigs' in late April and all were dead or died. Only two seemed to be viable at the time. I contacted CS and they said they would replace the trees. I received the second batch of trees on Christmas Eve: naturally, due to winter weather in Colorado, these trees didn't make it even though I took the time to plant them in a snow storm. I decided to extend my membership in 2020 and was supposed to receive a 3rd pack of fall foliage trees. I received a fruit and flowering tree package yesterday, on Memorial day weekend. Terrible timing. Arbor Day should send a shipping confirmation. These are not the trees I wanted and I am not available to plant them. Had I known they were shipping, I could have made arrangements. Very poor service, very poor quality. In addition, I have tried to order from their catalogue and nothing I wanted (20 different plants / trees) are available this season. Ridiculous. Arbor Day Foundation seems like a scam to me. User's recommendation: Arbor Day "Free Tree" membership gift: Dead trees / Don't Bother.
