Looking at a whole picture

So as of 5/30/18 4:54pm EST there have been a total of 105 reviews reported to pissed consumer. The oldest being reported in August 2010. How many thousands of rentals do you think have been done monthly in nearly 8 years? My opinion is that it is not too bad of a company. There are over-dramatized issues that are expressed online that allow everyone to express their dislike or "poor treatment" that is clearly just a simple misunderstanding or a received response that does not agree with a specific thought process such as an additional driver, no they are not always free. There's a reason for that. Read the policies and procedures as well as whether they are in-terminal or an off site location and you'll save yourself some aggravation. Ignorance is no excuse.
