Wow where do I start, long story short there was a back sliding glass door that leaked because it was old and needed to be replaced. They sent a tech out who then sent in the quote to replace it. He came back saying they refused to replace it. We live in fl where it rains everyday during the summer and everyday water came in through that door. Come to find out this happened with the previous tenants and the back wall had significant damage per the pol man “that whole back wall was just destroyed” our base board started peeling away from the wall and we instantly noticed mold growth. Called to tell them to come repair it and couldn’t get an appointment for over three weeks! Paid a mold inspection team to come *** and found SERIOUS mold growth in our ac vents. Sent them a 7 day notice to cure which they received on a Wednesday had an outside company they paid to come out on a Friday and a week later they still hadn’t responded to that companies proposal. When we terminated our lease per the fl statute and the 7 Day Notice to Cure I emailed the Tampa office who did not reach out to me. The next evening I emailed the CEO, COO and head of legal forwarding the email I sent to their Tampa office and the next morning I received an email from their “portfolio Director” at the Tampa office. At the start she LIED saying they’d been trying to reach me. I let her know that wasn’t true as I haven’t received any voicemails or missed calls from their office, her reply was another lie saying my voice mail wasn’t set up to which I replied with a screen shot. It should be noted that anytime maintence has to call me to schedule they never had a problem reaching me. Long story short I took matters into my own hands and got them to agree to refund my full deposit and some moving expenses but they’re trying to claim I owe $780 for water usage!!!!!
