Leaking AA batteries

The batteries are no good for use in the popular LED candles. Usually the candle will use them in pairs. Only one of the batteries will leak. I noticed the problem in LED flash lights also. As and engineer I contacted Duracell years ago to give them free advice on this problem. After reading some of the recent reviews on this website it appears theyve not done anything about this problem.
