Lynnwood, WA - August 2021 Republic Services cancelled our rubbish pick up with no notice & attempted to extort us into paying the next bill in advance before reinstating our service. We are signed up for paper billing, but received no bill in the mail. We received no notification by mail or otherwise that our payment was late; the first & only indication we received was a piece of paper shoved in our rubbish bin stating that our service had been 'interrupted'. If that paper had blown away, we would have had no indication at all. We logged into our online account immediately, paid the balance & requested our service be reinstated. After over an hour on the phone with customer service, the extortion demand & 3 different reps, we were finally able to speak with a manager who reinstated our service without a pre-payment. Shout out to supervisor Matthew for being both understanding & competent!
