Kindle battery has failed within first 9 months

Hi my kindle has stopped working and there is a permanent battery with an exclamation mark on it on the screen. I cant shut it down or do anything with the device I bought it in Sept 2020 it is under guarantee but your website makes it very difficult to ask for a replacement or report it faulty. User's recommendation: It was good but once things go wrong Amazon deliberately make it difficult to contact them.
