issue with our order and customer service

We placed an order about 3 weeks ago and have had nothing but issues since. I logged in to check on our order since we had not received it yet and I noticed the order was on hold. One of the items that we had ordered was out of stock (although it was in stock at the time the order was placed). I attempted to reach out to customer service as the only option available was the remove the item and have everything else shipped. I called multiple times and was just directed to use the chat feature. I tried chatting with agents multiple times, but just kept getting automated responses with instructions on how to remove the item. We did not want to remove the item all together as the item in question was the main item that we were wanting to begin. All we wanted to do was switch the item for another color was was still in stock. I logged back in today to attempt yet again to get help with this and noticed that the order was modified and the item was removed and everything else was shipped. There was a note on the order that said...Per customer email removed OOS item from order and submitted credit. I never requested this. There was now a customer representative's name and number on the new order so I called him and he said that there was nothing he could do. We would have to just order the item again and now pay shipping which is absurd. On our original order we spent over 100.00 so that we got a 10.00 credit which basically gave us free shipping. I should not have to pay new shipping charges to get this item that we originally paid for and did not have any extra shipping charges. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with and will not buy anything from this company again.
