inlet water valve
*SOLVED

Maytag model # MVWB765FW1 Serial # C74170992 3 1/2 year s old. Water continually drips into washer tub. I had to turn off the water supply to the machine to stop the leak or else it will fill the tub over time. Luckily the machine recognizes the water in the tub and drains it before it starts a new wash cycle (don't know how, but it did). Maytag warranty coverage is disaster repair only, what a joke considering their advertisments but whatever. I think that water valve is defective and I see that the part number has changed (usually do to a recognized problem) as I had to order a new valve after reading Maytag lame warranty coverage. Got a replacement valve from Amazon ($53.61) that had good reviews. Email me and I'll let you know how it went after 5/26/2021. Disassembly/assembly is pretty straight forward. You can do it.
