Applied for a VA refinance loan & and everything was fine--paid $375 for a VA appraisal but the underwriters didn't like the appraisal amount and turned us down. Agent would not return our calls, emails etc.--nothing!!! Have bought and sold homes in the past and have never been turned down. They could have, at least, called to explain instead of us thinking that everything was a go til we received the letter in the mail!! They say that they are there for the veteran, but this disabled Vet doesn't believe it--we are telling everyone what happened to us. Veterans watch out!
