My 92-year old mother ordered a gift from Catalog Favorites in November, 2020. Without consent, they started charging a $15 monthly "VIP Membership fee" to her credit card. We noticed after the 3rd month. I called the number referenced by the charge in the credit card statement, and a well-spoken rep answered questions but volunteered no corrective actions. When I demanded that the obviously bogus membership be canceled and the fees be refunded, she politely agreed. I suppose people/victims generally move on from there, but I would like to see these *** prosecuted for this deceptive practice. They appear to do this routinely (judging from complaints on this site) and they've been doing it for a long time - at least 5 years! User's recommendation: Avoid Catalog Favorites!
