Make real sure not to sign any paper until you have read it and see what in NOT listed on the invoice. I bought. three flats of slate stone. I asked what would happen if I only used two and he said I'd have been lucky and would be refunded. I also told him that I didn't want any broken stones used, his response, no problem. Long story short, lots of broken slabs were used and only two flats were needed. I called him and told him what happened and he couldn't have cared less. I took him to court and lost because none of what he told me was on the invoice, just that they built a nine inch wall. The judge said he believed me but had to go by what was on the invoice.
