I was once a devoted customer with MV since 2008 and I loved buying their home decor and accents. I also had a similar situation with my MV account. I received two hard Inquiries and I called customer service and was placed on hold for ten minutes and after holding was disconnected. I decided to send a certified letter to them requesting that they explain why I had two hard Inquiries one on 11-16-18 and 2-8-19, when I've a credit limit of $8000. I also requested that the two hard Inquiries be removed from my credit reports. They replied to my correspondence saying " Our records indicate that you placed the following orders and requested an extension of credit. As a result, your orders were a credit transaction and our company had a permissible purpose for requesting a copy of your consumer credit report." That doesn't make any logical sense to me because I didn't give them permission to pull my credit report and I've an establish account with them with a high credit limit and I just received a new card with an increased credit limit. So each transaction being processed they will pull your consumer credit report without you knowing until you get an alert from your credit monitoring servicer. These hard Inquiries are having a negative affect to my credit report and scores so therefore I'll not be ordering anything else from MV, Seventh Avenue, or Monroe & Maine. Once my balances are paid off all accounts will be closed.
