Signed up with Great American Power 2 months ago, got a guaranteed rate for 18 months- saved $70 a month over my current bill with BGE. The sign up process was pretty painless. From what I understand the key is to renew the contract before my rate is up - if not I think goes month to month variable and that is when things can get expensive. Did one call to customer service- got a live person , who spoke english within about 2 minutes- this is a big plus for me, hope it stays the same (hate being on the phone for thirty minutes with someone I can't understand). Had to track down some account number off my power bill which was a little hard to figure out but they walked me through it ok.
