I bought a new backup generator this year -- by the time it was installed it cost $30,000. It doesn't work! Two days ago, the power failed. My wife, who has Alzheimer's and osteoporosis and who has had two broken hips in the last 3 years got up to go to the bathroom in the dark and fell! The dealer can't fix it -- he has to call in an expert! I don't want an expert -- I want a new generator that works! User's recommendation: Do not buy Generac.
