Frustrated with soleus customer service

I've many attempts to talk to someone about purchasing a remote control for a Soleus air mini-split air conditioner using the 888-876-**** phone number in the owner's manual. No return calls from anyone. I finally found the tech support site for SDon't buy any Soleusoleus but I'm required to sign up and pay an annual fee in order to talk to a tech. I don't need an annual tech service program, I just want to purchase a remote control ! . Why should a person have to pay to get tech support -- nonsense !! User's recommendation: avoid Soleus products.
