Fraudulent insurance sale

1

Shopify charged me for $300 shipping insurance on a UPS package on March 1, 2021. UPS lost the package and I filed a claim to be sent the $300 of insurance coverage, but the claim was denied. The reason cited was saying that the "terms and conditions" weren't followed, but no where on the Shopify insurance page are any such terms listed. https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shipping/shopify-shipping/shipping-insurance Shopify is unethically charing small businesses for insurance, and denying coverage for lost packages based on loopholes in the terms they do not make available to customers. When I called to resolve this I was told they "weren't responsible" for it at then the agent hung up on me. This behavior is unethical and predatory.
