Followed instructions. The dial setting selection doesn't work and the handbook provides no clues. Even selecting the auto-basic setting, the start button does not start. Cleaned, refitted paddle several times, reconnected etc several time. Then I read that many others have had the same problem and that there are frequent problems with the paddle design. I will avoid looking at any Breville products in the future. User's recommendation: Avoid this product brand.
