Failure to get compensation for lost/stolen Parcel.

Parcel Barcode [protected] Item Lost/Stolen 04.12.2020 Item Receipt 04.12.2020 No. P2844932 Item sent via drop off at One Stop, Middleton on Sea. In Person Value of Item £198.99 Tracking No. [protected] This item was returned to Amazon via Hermes on 04.12.2020 and handed in for collection same day. This item was never delivered to Amazon but a packet of biscuits was with the correct label taken from my parcel and stuck to the biscuits. I returned this item as it was faulty and under guarantee. Since then I have been trying to get Hermes to take responsibility for this item as they were the last ones to have it. I have returned items before with Hermes and had no problems but now I have been trying to get an answer for months. I am a Pensioner of 79 & 80 in July, I am disabled and that is a lot of money to lose. It is very difficult to talk to anyone on the phone or the chat line not that I can get through. I would be grateful if someone would help me this time, it is important to me. Regards David
