I have put our Thermador wall oven Model MEDMC301JP/05 for the first time on Self Clean - it was not even very dirty since it is in our vacation home. After 1h 20min, means after the clean time was almost finished, I hear a big bang and all the inner glass of the oven door shattered in 1000s of small pieces all over the kitchen. I was lucky that I was not right in front of it. This model must be taken from the market. We are in a high rise. I read that this is a more common problem with the Thermador self clean feature than I would have ever imagined and it can cause fire too! User's recommendation: Do NOT use Thermador oven “Self Clean” feature!
