Excessive time to refund money

1

My wife and I paid for our family's vacation 4 months early and bought several packages and spa treatments. All funds had to be paid in full 30 days before the cruise was set to sail. COVID 19 happened and the cruise was cancelled. Our sail date was March 29th but the cruise was cancelled March 12th. My wife sent in our request for a refund on March 14th. I called on April 9th and was told that the request for refund was received April 5th. It took a millisecond for my money to get to Carnival yet it will take up to 90 days to get a refund? They are holding our money as long as possible and making interest on that money. Corporations like Carnival are taking advantage of their customers by holding their money for an excessive amount of time just so they can draw interest off that money. User's recommendation: Fly to your destination and enjoy your vacation. Dont take a cruise!
