ESC on WLToys model #12427 broke

The ESC on my son's WLToys model #12427 quit working only after 4 or 5 run cycles and less than 6 months old. Never used the buggy in loose dirt and it never got wet. Checked batteries, with old battery pack and a new one. Pulled the motor and hooked it up separately from car and it spins with electrical power.
