Early in 2008, I needed a replacement lamp for my DLP projector (current one had over 2,000 hours on it; it's our TV), and was unable to find one locally. I found it on Electrified.com so I ordered one. When the lamp arrived, it had a crack about one inch long in the reflective housing. The bulb itself was intact, so far as I could tell, but these lamps get ultra-hot, so I was concerned about the crack growing, kinda the way a crack in your car windshield does! I contacted Electrified.com to ask about this prior to installing the lamp. I never heard back from them. Eventually, I decided to go ahead and install the cracked lamp. Upon powering up the projector, I saw a bright red glow through the venting, which died out after a second or so. Turns out, installing this bulb blew the fuse in the projector. I replaced it, and it blew a second fuse. Third... You get the idea. Contacted Electrified again, repeatedly, about this issue, and they never responded. Eventually, I purchased another lamp from a different vendor, and it would not light in the projector. Neither would the old lamp which was being replaced. I took the whole pile to a repair shop, and they informed me that the defective lamp from Electrified burned out one of the mainboards in the projector, and it would cost way too much to repair it. I ended up finding the same model on eBay for about $250. New it was $900, so this seemed like a reasonable way to go. So, Electrified.com cost me the price of a replacement projector, and the price of a worthless bulb they sent me. All in all, I think it ended up being about $550 for which I received absolutely nothing. It was just my "gift" to them. In my disgust, I wrote a letter, outlining the history of this transaction, the costs I incurred, and mailed it, WITH the offending lamp, back to Electrified.com. STILL have not heard back from them. It is likely I never will. Never, ever, deal with Electified.com. They have no integrity, and horrible customer service.
