Before begging the work, I requested a written estimate agreement with each job listed and price. He signed and dated the agreement. I signed and dated the same agreement. He took a copy. I was given a copy. He replaced the gutter in front of my home. I paid him for the work done. I was pleased with the work done. He wrote a second agreement for a second list of jobs that was to be done in the spring or summer 2020. Whenever I spoke to him by phone regarding this agreement, He would say, he didn't, have a copy of our agreement with him right now, but he would call me later once he has the agreement. The date of written estimate agreement (Feb 1, 2020) Yet, he would never call back to discuss following through with our agreement. His female friend was very nice, she tried to schedule me but I had to cancelled because I wasn't going to pay him to paint on a wet rainy, hurricane warning, weekend. When, I did speak to him regarding our work agreement estimate, he mentioned that I would have to pay for materials that was already mentioned in our agreement. I stood my ground and always made reference to our agreement. I continue to have our original price agreement . I believe, he misplaced his agreement.so now he's trying to charge me higher prices.
