The sander works great, and comes with a dust shroud that per the box can be used with vacuum. The shroud hook up is 1 inch outside diameter, I dont know of has a vacuum hose that small. Also using a household vacuum would not hold up for sucking up drywall or concrete dust. Per customer service Dewalt does not made any type of adapter to fit my dewalt wet/dry vac DXV14P. What good is a great sander if you are going to be inhaling the fine dust which is dangerous when you use it even if wearing a mask. User's recommendation: My recommendation is for the CEO. Make adapters that will fit shop vacs and label the box to say adapter is necessary even if not included in box with sander. Reviews on the sander was great but most all customers complaints were the same as mine. I am not willing to ruin my vacuum for a good sander with a flawed dust collection concept or lack of any thought to dust collection to work with a shop vac.
