Doesn’t stand behind missing pieces!!!!

I spoke with two individuals today (Anna Marie and Tony) regarding a gift (the bubbly surprise) my 5 years old got from his birthday party. The product was labeled as having a doll and pet but after opening the packages we discovered the pet wasn’t included. I called the company and was SHOCKED at the treatment I received! Anna Marie (customer relations) was very combative, rude and short with me after she discovered I didn’t have the gift receipt or a receipt for the present my son was given. She repeatedly kept saying “get the receipt from the person”. Which I was trying to explain I didn’t feel comfortable doing because it was a classmate moms whom I didn’t really know. After 15 minutes of her being so rude I asked to speak to a manager. Tony was not as short but also definitely not willing to figure out a way to solve my issue. I understand policy and rules but I also think this company needs to review its policies on defective products issue. After this incident I was appalled at the response and the LACK of consumer relations to make things right with their product. So I did what all people seem to do these days....jumped on the internet. I discovered I’m not alone in feeling this way. There were so many blogs / comments I read about other children opening up this product and not getting what was advertised. Not only is MGA Entertainment sending out DEFECTIVE products they DON’T stand behind them when the defects are brought to their attention. My hope is that someone “higher up” reads this message and looks into maybe using lot numbers for replacement of defective products etc. User's recommendation: Don’t buy and if you do prepared to be missing parts.
