We have been with TD Visa for many years. On January 25 we went to this dealership with no idea of buying a vehicle just getting information. After his pressure sales pitch we left a $1000 amount in order for this dealership to check our credit rating and because of medical stress we had to leave even though the credit application was not complete. We came home at around 2:20 and immediately phoned the dealership to stop all proceedings as we could not go through with the purchase. We immediately called TD Visa to stop payment on this amount. At which time the lady who answered said that their was a Notice of Dispute on the account. On January 27 we again called TD Visa and another gave us the same answer that we needed to wait 15 days before this could be reversed. Today February 9 we called and were told that the money was already gone and should we wish to pursue this we would have to respond today. I am feeling very let down with TD Visa as we have been a valued customer and were wondering why the amount was not reversed when we called the first time. I thought we had control over charges especially if there is a question of a company being at fault. Please let us know if you could do anything to help us out.
