Difficulty setting up

I was setting up the app on my phone because one of the things that attracted me to this service was the fact I did not have to touch the phone of the phone that I want to monitor. But then when I started setting up the app on my phone I discovered that apparently I shouldve been setting up the app physically on the phone that I wanted to monitor when the whole reason that I went with Auto Forward is so that I didnt have to do that. So now I am afraid that I paid $90 to monitor my own phone instead of my childs phone but I cannot get anyone on the phone to help me figure out what is going on.
