Did not receive DVDs that I ordered
I collect out-of-print movies from collectors who sell DVD-r copies. One of these sellers, pimpadelicwonderland.com, which specializes in films and TV shows from the '70's, is a rip-off operation. It's run by a guy named Tom Fitzgerald (at least that is the name he gives on his website) and I was first drawn to his site as he was offering movies that no one else on the web had. Plus, his prices were reasonable; $100 for 12 discs. I sent him a cashier's check for my remittance which my credit union verified was cashed on 06 March 2008. I waited about six weeks, and after several unanswered e-mails (pimpadelicmail@***.com), decided to file a complaint with the FTC and the postmaster general. Soon after filing these complaints, "Tom" writes me an e-mail with an obviously trumped up excuse; something about going out of town and not realizing he hadn't sent me my DVDs. He also offered to give me some free movies for my trouble. I went off on him a little bit in my response because I was having my intelligence insulted with his lame *** excuse (lie). I also asked him how many free movies he was offering as he was vague in the first email. Then, silence. About two weeks later, I wrote him again and apologized (really humiliating, but I just wanted this nonsense to END) and provided him with four free titles that I would like, telling him to give as many as he felt reasonable. Since then, nothing. I filed ANOTHER complaint with the FTC about ten days ago, but I haven't heard anything. This guy is nothing but an incommunicado scammer, so please spread the word and don't order anything from him.
